Post leveling kit questions

I have a 94 f150 4x4 with a 5.0 liter regular cab longbed. I have the quad shock setup in the front and was wondering if I add a 1.5 inch leveling spring would I still be able to use the stock shocks. I will also be running a 31 inch mud tire.I have called bilstein and they say it wil voidthe warranty. Is this to much strain on the shocks. If anyone has done this give me some feedback.

I want to say that you'll be alright with the stock length shocks, but I can't say for certain without knowing the travel measurements.

I agree with these guys, probably ok but not 100% sure. If the stock shocks get topped out (extended all the way) with the suspension still pulling on it, it can damage the shocks. So I would check to be sure. You know that your compression will be fine so you will not bottom out the shocks. The extension is the issue. So jack up one front corner of your truck by the frame, not the suspension. This will allow you to see the droop of your suspension. Disconnect the bottom of the shocks and see if they are maxed out or if they have a little more extension they can give. Ideally you would want another .5"-1" of extension from the shock to be on the safe side when your suspension is at full droop. So if you wanting to do a 1.5" leveling spring you would want 2-2.5" of further extension of your stock shocks to work properly with the leveling coils.
Not sure what the Bilstein guy is talking about voiding the warranty. Do you have Bilsteins now and are worried about those? In that case it would certainly void any warranty.

Thanks for the info guys but I went with a full suspension package from rough country. They actually build shocks for the leveling kit with the quad setup so there is no guess work. Everyone told me to go with the bilsteins but the customer service sucked so I went with the other guys.
