Doing my 1997 explorer injector swap (which I found a good deal on a set off a 1999, which by the way DO NOT work-- connector changed)
the injectors I pulled of my 1992 5.8 already have the 4 pintle design and are half orange and are part number F2TE-A3A. Im not finding much on this witch search...
Since I dont have the 1997s to compare them to, it really didnt look like anyone had been in there before (valve covers still had the metal "washer" over them like you see on brake drums, Ive owned it for 5 years now and it has 140k I bought it at 129k. Does any one have info on this part number and or what the actual part number is off a 1997 explorer V8 injector??
It's not just 97' explorer injectors, it's all Bosch gen3s that have early connectors, any of them will work. You can grab them out of beamers, volvos, expeditions, corvettes, it doesn't matter. They're the same exact injector. Just make sure you get yellow body with the EV1 style connector (should be able to look at them)
these are gen2 against the gen3s .. you probably have gen2 with the four holes in 92, in my 90 I had one hole, they look a lot like gen2s.
