Yeah, I gotta agree. I was hoping I would like it if you could have superimposed it across the outline of the state, but since you can't, I'm of the same mind as gb.

Maybe do the outline and put the script "NorCal Chapter" inside the top half of the state outline, and the FTE address and image inside the bottom half of the state outline??

Having everything spread out like it is right now isn't eye appealing to me. Just my opinion brother.

Good, another idea. Keep them coming people. I would like to have something there that is unique to northern California, that is why I put the bridge. However, at this point, nothing is set in stone. I still need to tweak the last idea, but I can also just use the state outline, and work something with that. If we can get 2 or 3 different ones, then we can have a "members only" vote on which one gets to be the official NorCal Chapter logo.

I COMPLETELY agree, Jim. I love the idea of the GG bridge, it's just getting it to work so it's eye appealing that's bugging me.

I actually have quite a few different formats swirling in my head, but its difficult to try and describe the different looks. I wish I could sit down with a designer sitting at a computer to see how some of what I see in my minds eye, would actually look on a computer screen.

Yeah, I like having the bridge, but maybe it is overpowering the whole shot. If I could draw, I could put a Ford Truck or two in there, but my brother got all the artistic talent in my family, however, he is too busy with college right now. That is why I am hoping other people can come up with some ideas.

Okay, found a different pic of the bridge, and made a totally different design.

I am looking for another drawing/photo of another Ford truck to put on the right side of the state outline, but this is what I have so far. I have the Ford blue oval I can put on the right side, but it might suggest we are affiliated with Ford, and FTE would not approve the design. So, maybe a late model Ford truck, similar to the official FTE decal, one old one new.

Sorry Stewart I totally missed your post about putting the Nor-Cal chapter inside the top half of the state, and the URL in the lower part. I used to be proficient with Coreldraw when I used it to make my living. However, I have not done anything with it for several years, and am so rusty it is frustrating. I will make one as you suggested, however, I am thinking the bridge may not make it. I am not coming up with anything using the bridge that I like.

Okay,

Here we go with your suggestion Stewart.

And here is a simple design I whipped up minus all the extra stuff like the truck, and the bridge.

Let me know what you guys think.

By far, the circle so far.

Thanks for trying my suggestion. It sucks, throw it out, LOL.

Yeah, of all the designs so far, the circle is the only one that I like, except for that night time photo of the bridge, but I would need to get the photographer's permission to use it, and I am told it would be very expensive to reproduce. So I think we will stick with the circle for now, and see what everyone else thinks.

edit: I had the line art drawing of the '53 F-100 in the upper right of the circle design, but it seemed to clutter up the design, so I removed it. looks much better this way.

It 's getting there, a little more tweaking and some color and you've got it

Where would you like to see color? I know the words a the bottom of the design need to be tweaked, anything else that looks like it needs tweaking?

Well, I can put the '53 F-100 inside the state either top or bottom, but it is line art just like the state and has no color. The only way to add color would be for me to draw the F-100 in Coreldraw, and as mentioned before I can't draw anything That is why I look on the Internet for drawings of what I need.

Okay, here it is with the F-100 added. I also changed the wording at the bottom.
