Chime and Screen Flash on Acceleration
15k on my Platinum, love the truck. I've had a handful of chimes and flashes of something on the productivity screen, most recent on an acceleration, pretty good, no WOT, but 2/3 or so, hear the chime and see the orange box on the screen, but it is gone before I can see any text etc.
Oil level good, 10% til next change. possible tire sensor? Any ideas? Never had a TPMS prompt. Have noticed it has only been when the outside temp is around 30 degrees F, or lower.
Thanks,
Nels
I absolutely baby this truck, hardly even tromp on it. Hope this isn't something I should be seeing...and addressing.
Could it be a coolant check indicator? 15k miles, like the 6.7's? Will we get those? But to flash, and not show up in the system...weird.
i have noticed that the trans does some goofy things when you drasticaly change driving patterns. kinda like their adaptive shift strategy rides the short bus, doesn't seem to know what to do.
if it is repeatable, i'd get someone to ride along, possibly even a service tech.

i used to drive it about as easy as you can, but then every time i had to get into it in a hurry, the trans acted all goofy and couldnt seem to get the right gear.
i'd try your usual "granny start" and then once it finds second or third, stomp it to the floor about as quickly can and watch for your display.
i've actualy started driving my truck at work harder than i normaly would because it behaves better if i need to step into it.
not saying that's what's going on for sure, just that it will do goofy things if you normally drive really easy, and then suddenly stomp it.

I found that my work vehicle also responds better if I don't baby it for a day. So I started taking my 2010 out going at least 3/4 throttle a couple of times. I hate to waste the fuel, but it sure feels like the truck runs better.

I'll bet you a dollar that jumping on it a few times like you have makes the problem go away, especially if you do it once and a while.
i'm not impressed with the "adaptive shift strategy" in these new trucks. i don't think it works as well as the "smart shift" that it replaced.
but, look at it this way, if i'm wrong i'll mail you a buck!
