Coolant Temp Sensor Failed! Maybe..
Had my truck in last Friday for a CEL, they tested it and said it was due to the NOx sensor so they proformed the 12B33. I was thinking of having this done since I received customer satisfaction letter but waiting for the next oil change. Well the oil change happened sooner then I was hoping.
After picking up the truck it seemed to be running rough and it did a regen not more then 15 mles from dealer. Seemed to be better but still knocking alot.
Well on Sunday it started a second regen since I picked the truck up on Friday and the CEL, during the second regen about mid cycle the CEL came on and was running very rough and knocking alot more then it shoud with temps all up. Went home and parked it.
So I said to the wife I guess I know what I'll be doing Monday/Today...
Went to the dealer first thing this morning and the truck is still there. They have been working with Ford to figure/diagnose it they called and said they have order the Coolant Temp Sensor and will be in tomorrow.
let me note dealer is not confident this is the problem.
Has anyone had this failure?

Thanks for any insite!
Brian

They pulled code P249C which was SCR Injector closed loop Fault, verified sensor EGT13 reading higher then normal so they replaced it 21,200 miles.
I know not may miles for Job 1.... But I love this truck better then my 2006 6.0L.
So far so good... Shifting better then ever with the 12B33 program more diesel knock off the green light till it gets up on temp but I like that sound!
I just wanted to post this because I've haven't post much as you can see, but I get alot of help from you guys hanging around here and wanted to return the favor and hope this will help someone out there.
