Question Billet water pump?

Has anyone installed a billet water pump?
I've heard that after time the stock plastic impeller will crack and come apart and cause a mess.
Any experience with upgraded pumps?

I have the billet pump/ I believe it stabilized my coolant temps a little, so it might provide a little extra flow.

I installed it at around 90k miles and I must say that the OEM plastic impellor looked fine when I removed it.

I think the cracking issues were with the older impellors (90 mm). Looking at your signature (04), you might just have the smaller pump.

If I were installing a new water pump, then I would go w/ the billet one from BPD. If I weren't having any problem, then I don't know what a person would gain by the upgrade. It is so hard to really predict the life of the plastic impellor.

I will say that the BPD product is of VERY high quality, just like the EGR coolers.
