White Smoke....

hi all,

When my truck is cold, and hasn't been plugged in... I will have white smoke coming from under the hood and exhaust pipe.

What could this be?

Does it smell like fuel or coolant?

White Smoke....

I will check it in the morning.

I can't remember what the smell is like..

White smoke from under the hood is kind of strange. When you cleaned your EGR valve did you check for the presence of coolant in the intake? Parking the truck nose down overnight will allow you to see if you have any coolant in there (with the valve out).

White Smoke....

No I didn't check for coolant, but I have the perfect driveway to park it and check.

If that is the case, what would be the cause?

Have a problem with white smoke also after about 15 or 20 min of running,smells more like fuel than coolant not sure. Dosent do all the time may go 3ot4days without anything. Idles good,slight hessiration at acceleration,all fluids fine and not throwing out any codes.
