Hi guys, this is my first time posting so go easy on me. I have a 2006 F-350 with 40,000 miles, started blowing white smoke at idle, at a light or stuck in traffic, it only does this when it is completely warmed up. I took it into a ford dealer and they replaced my EGR valve and cooler, still blueish white smoke, took it back did a reflash put in some fuel additive. Still blueish white smoke. I have a mbrp cat back with cat delete pipe, intake elbow, and have a SCT tuner but have been running stock for the last 7 months. any suggestions. Thanks in advance..
Smell the white 'smoke'. Will be smoke if fuel. Will be like a thick mist if coolant. I'm sure you'll be able to tell the difference between the two in smell. You'd think it would go away if they replaced the egr cooler. For those of you in the know, what would cause white smoke via coolant to be present while warm?? Sorry Im no help but I'm gonna guess it's coolant cuz I don't think you'd get unburnt fuel while stock tuned.
I dont think that they did a pressure test, but it has never puked and I dont loose any coolant, also when I smell the smoke it just smells like strong diesel exhaust, dont smell any coolant in there, but dosent really smell like its pumping out fuel either, I think im gonna put stock exhaust on and take it to a different dealer see if they have anything to say about it, anyone else have any ideas about this I would appreciate it.

How is the truck running otherwise? Stumbling? Lack of power? I had an injector and fuel regulator go and I was getting a lot of smoke. It would smoke a ton when cold, but would still smoke even when warmed up and there was a big notice in power loss.

Just an update for you guys, in case this can help anyone else out, I put the stock cat and exhaust back on yesterday too see if it would help the smoking any, and suprisingly the smoke is completely gone, the cat must actually do its job. maby its just hiding the problem for now but im glad the smoke has stopped. And by the way truck ran perfect wile it was smoking and it still runs perfect stock just no whistle which sucks...

If the smell is just diesel and no mist, I'd lean towards a bad injector over fueling. Check your oil and see if there has been any increase in the level. If the oil shows above full stop driving immediately and get it towed in.

Can you give a better explanation to this diagnosis? This is very interesting, and I am completely uninformed. Thanks!
I just think that there is an underlying issue, other than the exhaust system. I have a 4" MBRP turbo back system and mine only smokes on cold start up, not all day long.
