The PowerStroke help guy is Creepy. Most on here don't care for him, and I am waiting for the responses from them. Maybe you can get a Engine Damage Avoidance System! lol
On a side note, I would say that he has probably worked on his fair share of 6.0's, so he should be able to handle the cooler's pretty easily.
It did not use any coolant yet. It is around 50 right now, happy it is not summer
Well the coolers are still holding up then I dont know how far you have to go but Just go easy and try not to set any land speed records
And you also said Camper so are you pullen a Trailer?????
My point is that 15* spread is supposed to be taken on an empty truck as well
so if you have a Load theres probably some Give there it would be understandable a little higher spread
How far do you have to go might just keep a really close eye on it too I think I would push it rather than get Rapped by a Small town
I worked on the road for along time everytime someone broke down in a small town better have a GOOD supply of K-Y Jelley usually just cheaper to trailer it out of there
Benny has a good point. Have you run the truck empty on flat ground, and monitored your temp's. The spread will definitely be greater while towing/hauling. Which raises another ?, Why does the idiot light not come on while towing/hauling?
(although I cant remember, when I used to monitor mine, just how far, if any, the spreads were)
Edit: Only the newer flashes will display the idiot light's!
Yes i am pulling a trailer and I have a camper on the truck. I take it verrrry easy on the pedal. Total weight is about 6000 lbs. I can drop the whole thing in a campground to get somewhere, The powerstroke guy looks like is all i have for alternative beside Ford stealer.
The light does not come on. Except sometimes with code 0299, but this ones seems to come on once in a while for no reason, I just delete it and I am good for another day or so.
DEALER Not all dealer's, or mechanic's are thief's. We have a few on here that answer/help, on many issues. They take some offense (and rightfully so) to being called stealer's.
You may not have a problem at all. Drop your load (hahahahahaha I said load) and run it on a flat stretch of road about 50-65 mph and monitor. (make sure truck is at operating temp, before running this test)

Well thats just a turbo code

OK, I am at Gilmore Dealer near Montgomry Alabama, they have a diesel tech. There is quite a few trucks on sale here, so I imagine they have the proper mechanics. They will check it out and give me their advice. If I do not get it repaired, they will charge me 100 dollars, Will see what they have to say.
Right after I changed the coolant, I notice a higher EOT, like in the 205, 210, ETC 190, truck was empty, outside temp was in the minus 10. Just before coolant and T stat change, i had a constant 4 to 8 delta empty.
I never seen so big difference while towing the same rig, even during hot summer days. My ETC was allways around 190 to 195 and the EOT around 198 to 202 during summer, sometimes EOT climbing to 205 /210, but never 222 like I saw during the past few days, that 222 was when going uphill with a VEEEry gentle foot on the pedal. On very flat ground, i get EOT 210 / 214, ECT 186 / 188. As soon as i push it a bit, it climbs to 218 easy.
As for the 0299, i guess i will have to clean the turbo? But I am not to concern about this one for now.
My Ford dealer told me yesterday they work on 2-3 6.0's a week changing coolers and EGrs etc. I live in a small town too. I ordered a sinister EGR valve/cooler delete, head stubs, and coolant filter last night. We only have 70k miles on our Excursion
