ignition module question

i was under the hood of my truck and noticed that under the ignition module that the epoxy filler seems to be melting and there were a couple of drops of the epoxy stuff on the fender. Dose anyone have any idea what could be causing this.

Heat and age. Might be time to change it or carry a spare.
