Well i finally found the truck I am going to get as soon as my taxes come in...in the next few days. It is a little longer of a drive but it should be worth it. I got him down to $4500, I was wanting a little more off but he has done a lot of work. This one isn't jerry rigged like the last one was.
I've been eying that one up as well. It's only 20 minutes from me. I already have two, so I don't need it, but it sure is a good looking truck. Message me when you come up to look at it. Maybe me and Unk Bob can meet up with ya'.
I will def do a good test drive when I get up there. I really hope it runs as good as it looks cause it is a 4hr drive home. I am going to bring a towbar just in case.
I'll shoot you a pm when we head up there, I would love to take a look at your toys. I'm glad you already have two, it is hard to find some in good shape.
looks good but I think he is a little high on the price and why are the front tires not centered in the wheel openings ... might be an optical but check it out ...... have cash in hand and buy it for $3200 .... cash talks and dont be afraid to say you are going to have dinner and think about it and come back in an hour with a lower counter offer.... might save you a couple hundred by having dinner
Oh that one has been in my sites for a while, I am so glad you are going to go look at it, cause I dang sure do NOT need another one. It looks nice, but not 4500 in the pics nice IMO.
For sure PM earthquake (Alan) and he will holler at Ubreal2 (aka Unk Bob) and you all can have a mini cross border FTE G2G speaking of border, Alan holler at (borderbum) too.
Hope it works out for you and post up the results.....
Thanks, I know the price is high. For me to find a truck around here that has all the body work done plus a rebuilt engine is hard to find. I could have went cheaper but then I would have to put time and money right back into it. Besides, now the wife will be happy cause there won't be and "ugly" truck in the drive.
Yea I know what you mean, I did the same thing a while back and got this.... but in the end I know and feel that I paid to much and it still needs some body work.
I got a large dose of "Ford truck I tice" when I first saw it. Worked him off the top # with all the FTE knowledge and some ol horse trading techniques.
I guess in the end we usually pay more than what we want to. Every now and then you get that perfect deal. I am sure I will find something to complain about after I get the truck home and really start looking at it. But if I wanted a new truck I would buy one. Besides, like I said before this truck will save me a lot of time. Now I will be able to take my girls out playing in the mud when I want.

Well I went up and looked at the truck today. Not so good when you really start looking at the truck. Needless to say I didn't get it, I told him the truck was only worth half of what he was asking. I crawled under the truck and the far back bed support is almost gone, it probably would only last a year before the bed sides start sagging. The paint was worse off than it looked, he did a crappy sanding job before he sprayed it. All the wheel well liners were gone. the bottom of the doors were rusting really bad...and he spainted over the rust there. It did run pretty decent, the carb needed to be dialed in. Oh well, time to start looking again.
Earthquake and Ubreal2, sorry I didn't give you guys a heads up, the wife wasn't feeling to good on the trip and didn't want to be gone long. The baby is kicking her butt today.
