Dana 70

Ok not to sound dumb but king pins or ball joints? And where do I find them.... All parts stores say my truck does not exist.

This is a 79 f350 with a Marmon Herrington conversion, it has a Dana 70 and a divorced t-case. When I set the truck down on the hubs in the pic I just posted the passenger side hub had about 1/2 inch of slop up and down. Drivers side is bad, but not as bad as drivers side..... Anywho, where do I find my parts?

There are 4 bolts on the top of each, I'll get more pics tommarow.

Not an expert but looks like king pins. Also looks like early `70s Dodge?? Maybe go to dana.com and see if you can get a parts diagram.

The king pins are probably just king pin Dana 60. Call Randy's Ring&Pinion, they could tell you for sure & sell you the right kit.

Dana 70 is most likely the rear axle. Front axle is a D60 with King Pins.

The whole King Pin cap assembly? I think your best bet would be finding one in a junk yard.... if even that!

Well not needing the cap, the king pin part numbers. If I tell the guy at idontknowzone I need one for a Dana 70 he will say its not in a ford factory, I know this. This truck is not a factory 4wd, it was built by ford a 2 wd, sent to Marmon herrington and the axle and t-case putinto it. Yes it's a 205.

When I pick the front end up I have travel at the top joint. Like 1/2 inch of travel. Truck is not ready to go down the road as of right this moment so I may as well fix it while it's not moving.

for the whole autozone thing give this a try.
find out what truck had that axle up front go to autozone.com and try to find a part number for what your looking for then go in and just give them the part number.
or give these guys a shot this from fourwheeler.com
[[Jeremy and Pat Naeger at Custom Differentials]] Bloomsdale, Missouri Custom Differentials
have built scores of Dana 80 axles, and they can build 'em for mild to extreme rigs. This Dana 80 was modified to be used in the front of a vehicle or as a rear-steer axle. One of its most unique features is the adjustable knuckles.
they may have something

phone number for them 573-483-3343
