4spd NP VS borg Warner
just picked up a few spare parts super cheap. (2) 205's and (2) 4 spd's a NP and a Borg Warner. any opinions or preference? is one stouter than the other? NP is bigger so is it stronger? always used the Borg Warner in my old 77 and never had any issues but my 78 has a lot of slop in the shifter. Thought that if the NP is better i would go ahead and change it out. thanks!

Which Borg Warner are you talking about? T-18? T-19? T-98?
The NP435 and T-18's are pretty close to the same. I don't think either is better then the other. I just personally prefer the NP435.

That's why I just use photobucket for my pics.
The T-18 and NP435 are pretty close to the same size. So if yours is smaller it might be something else.

I already know why it does. Old transmission, worn shift fork. My buddy has one in his 85 dodge 3/4 ton crew cab and it does the same thing. It's only when he romps on it, though, same with mine.

It's not a huge difference. You are talking around a 6.68:1 first for the NP435. And a 6.32 for the T18. T19's could be 4.02, 5.11 or 6.32.
