We are selling the 68 to get this one. Everything is there I'm don't think it runs but we were going to build it crazy anyway. It is in primer right now, ready for paint. Got from a guy who is selling it so he can do his 68 shelby.
Here you go HIO here are some pics. He has all the glass, interior, trim and original hood and trunk lid. We are not going to put the Eleanor kit on it like he was. Also there is a pic of his shelby.
That IS definitely a project. Is the seller gonna provide the Eleanor kit with the deal? I mean, I'd prolly turn it around and sell it to recoupe some of the cost of the deal. What engine/tranny combo ya thinking of running? How about a 363W Ford crate and a TKO-500?
In terms of color, I suggest Highland Green or British Racing Green ala Bullitt. I don't think metallic grey enhances the body lines. It makes the body look chunky and heavy. When I see a fastback, I want to see it suggest speed. Have ya thought about a 'street Trans-Am' theme? Hmm... Terlingua!!!
Well it came with a 289 three speed and he is giving us a 351c with a T10B-1 4sp also with it. 351 cleveland D2AE-CA not sure what it means but you might.

IIRC, the 351-4V had better heads that the 2V version. Ya might run into fitment issues cuz the Cleveland wasn't available until 70 in the Mustang. Opt for a Windsor - generous aftermarket support and less headaches with parts compatibility.
I've got a T10 in my 65.. its first gear is like the NP435, darn worthless cuz it's really close numerically to 2nd gear. I start off in 2nd most of the time even with a 2.79 rear gear.
Visualize this parked in your driveway. It's plain bad azz:
