oil cooler oring replacement

I have the oil cooler off and seperated but like a dummy I did not mark from and back. The tube looks the same on both sides so does it matter? Also I can't tell which orings go where any help is greatly appreciated. My old orings are toasted so bad they all look the same.

If I remember correctly there are locating tabs ont eh cooler itself and it can only go back together one way. That's how the ones were that I've done.
I'd have to look at the rings, but are they different diameters?
It's been a while, I hope someone can give you more input on that.

Good luck.

Look at this thread. It has good pics and shows the position each o ring goes in. As the caps vs the tube, beats me.

Yea mine are too but I couldn't figure out which one went where because my,old ones were about the same size. Think I have it figured out now. Going to try to put it together tonight. Do I need to fill the tube with oil?

No need to fill with oil, the cooler is the same end for end has 2 aligning tabs, cant screw it up. Be sure to grease the o-rings before pressing on end caps. I tried pounding them on with rubber mallet, didn't work. Ended up putting entire cooler in a high lift jack and presses together, easy as pie.
