85 f250 transfercase question
85 f250 transfercase question
I have a 85 f250 with and auto tranny and will be trading it out with a 4 speed trans. Will the 208f transfer case interchange from the auto to the manual. The reason I am asking is the one on the auto is in better shape. Thank you.
Yes, all of Ford's tcases uses the same bolt pattern up to I believe '97 on the F150 and '99 on the stupid duties. There may be differences in the adapter plate length and there was almost certainly be a difference in overall length, and possibly u joint size which will require lengthening/shortening of driveshafts and possibly conversion joints.
remember, it takes one to know one.
