I have the rancho dual steering stabilizer and I can not get a straight answer on if I should remove the stock one out run with 3 of them in place. I emailed rancho with no , so I called them and they were closed so I left a message. Never heard back so I called again and got ahold of a tech, they told me to remove the stock stabilizer as it would be to much stress on the steering. Then I just got an email from them saying to leave it on. And last night I got a call from them retuning my phone call and the tech said leave the stock one on, I trills him about the other tech saying removing it, and he said it's really a personal prference.. What are you guys doing?
I've got a 6" procomp lift with dual front stabilizers, and I still have the original stock one in place. My steering has never been an issue. I just have to make sure the truck is rolling a little when I turn the wheels, or it feels a little tough to turn, but I think that's due to the bigger/wider tires, and not the stabilizers.
There is absolutely no need to run multiple stabilizers. If you are running the in-line Rancho, I'd remove the factory stabilizer. I can't speak with any experience, but I've been told that if you run more than one stabilizer setup at the same time that they can actually interfere with each other and not allow them to do the intended job.
I have the Rancho dual set up and didn't remove the factory stabilizer and it seems to be working fine and made a world of a difference in handling. The only thing is when I turn, the steering wheel doesn't straighten back out on its own anymore.
If you add steering stabilizers that mount to the tie rod then there is really no reason to keep the stock one in place.
The tie rod mounted stabilizers do a much better job than the stock one, when I added my dual kit I left the Rancho one that I already had in the stock position on, but after awhile I removed it and found that the truck drove just as good and also was easier to turn.
