rusting nerf bars
I have a 2001 F-150 ext. cab with chrome westin nerf bars. What's happening is there are little metal inserts that fit into holes in the top of the bar. Then the plastic step pad has studs that go into these holes. These little metal inserts are rusting, and the rust is spreading to the bars themselves. Any ideas what I can do about this? I bought the truck used, so I don't have any of the warranty info or paperwork from westin. Don't know if this is the right forum for this, so I'll apologize in adavance it it's not. Thanks for any help you can give me.
