98 Expy 4x4Hi not working
Hello I have search the forums but found no answers. I have a 98 expy 5.4 with the Way switch a4wd, hi, Low. At first nothing worked. I replaced the shift motor with a new one. Then went to the junk yard and got the relay thats above the radio and bam my 4x4 low works. Still nothing on the hi side. I check under the hood and i have vac into both sides but only out of one side of the solenoid's. Is there a 4x4 Hi relay or is that the same as the low relay?

The "Transfer Case Shift Relays" is one unit containing both relays. One relay controls the Low-to-High shift and the other one controls the High-to-Low shift.
Could you describe what happens when you shift to 4H? Does it just stay in 4L?

When i put it in 4h the light just flashes and nothing happens. When i put it in 4l and its in Netural it say 4l range and i hear the shift motor and diff lock and all wheels turn. Nothing happens in A4wd. back tires will spin only in a4wd and 4h
