If your 100% positive you installed the quarter, you need to find it. look In the day light and you need to look REAL good everywhere on the head. My fear would be.. It's jammed between one of the valve springs . I hope not..

i dont know how much you have looked but there are a lot of holes in the block that it could get in to that would be hard to see it, and i dont think a magnet will pick it up.
Well if it helps, when I dropped mine while installing it on the drivers side (oiley fingers.....), it fell down inside the head where the push rods go through. Took me about 3 hours and a lot if ingenuity to get it out of there. I could just bairly see the edge of it with the pushrod removed.
