MOTOR SWAPS
I HAVE JUST BECOME THE OWNER OF A 90 F-350 WITH A 460 AND NEED SOME IDEAS FOR MOTOR SWAP HAS WNY DONE A V10 OR 5.4 3V SWAP IF SO LET ME KNOW HOW HARD OR EASY THIS WILL BE. AND ALSO SOME IDEAS TO MAKE THAT 460 A LITTLE EASIER ON THE GO JUICE. I KNOW THE 460IS A GAS HOG AND NOT EXPECTING ANY MIRACLES

I wouldn't swap the big block for a triton motor...buncha glorified mazda crap if you ask me.
The 460 can get a few upgrades so it doesn't chug fuel so fast like headers, upgraded exhaust from headers back, port and polish the heads, that'll pull a couple more mpg's. Different cam might also boost mpg's.
A diesel swap would be killer. A turbo'd 7.3 from the early 90's or a powerstroke 7.3 would be ideal. getting a whole truck to take the parts off of would be ideal also. but that's going to be expensive. I'd just stick money into the 460.
