Did you drop a thermometer and walk through the mess? How do you get contaminated with Mercury.

It wasn't smart or dumb. It was young inquisitive kids exploring something they knew nothing about.

Someone dropped an old sphygmomanometer. Modern ones dont have mercury because of its toxic properties, but this old one did. Apparently I walked through before the area had been taped off.

I'm just saying that there wasnt as much control over it before because we didnt know how bad it was. Assuming you didnt eat any you would be fine.
