Howdy fellas,
I'm in need of the tailgate panel for a 97 F250. I melted mine by accident running a generator that was in a reciever hitch basket facing the wrong way (dope). It had the brushed aluminum with the smokey plastic insert that went full length.(it was sure smoked when I got done with it).
Turns out they're not to be found hardly. Anyone ever fabbed something to cover those holes that looked decent? Looks pretty bad without it, 6 big holes spaced along the middle. Ideas? Jay
lmc trucks has them i may have a red one off of an 90s truck i would look at lmc it will coast i bite i no the brushed alum part is like 300 bucks ... ill see if i have that red one you can spray smoke it
WHOOOEE, I checked the local Craigs list just for grins, and BAM, there it was! A fellow about 60 miles away had a brand new listing for one. A little phone tag and we set up the deal, he even met me about halfway. 80 bucks and it's an exact match for the one I smoked! Thank you all for your offers, Jay
btw, he had a Ford F150 with the original 302 all cherried out, nice young fellow and what else can you say, he's a ford truck enthusiast!
