Incorrect.

I have seen a few '77 (seller claimed anyway) hiboy's with FE's.
No 1977 F100/350 came w/an FE engine, as they were cancelled at the end of the 1976 model run.
High Boys: 1967/76 F250 4WD, 1977 F250 4WD before serial number Y20,001.

1967/77 F100/250 4WD available engines:

1967: 240/300 I-6, 352 2V / 1968/74: 240/300 I-6, 360 2V / 1975/76: 300 I-6, 360 2V / 1977: 300 I-6, 351M/400.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"As Original" ~ 1965/76 352/360/390 pushrods.

1965/67 & 1968 before change /L2

C4TZ-6565-B = 9.62" O/A length.

C8AZ-6565-A = .030" U/S

C4TZ-6565-D = .060" U/S

C4TZ-6565-C = .060" O/S
--------------------------
1968 from change /L2 & 1969/76.

C8AZ-6565-A = 9.59" O/A length.

C4TZ-6565-B = .030" O/S (9.62" O/A length).

Peeps ask a gazillion High Boy questions. Most are justified, some are just ridiculous. (sigh)

Some peeps are clueless or have been fed crap info by: sellers, ebay ads, or from other clueless peeps. Think 4WD: F100's, F150's, 1977 F250's from #Y20,001, 1978/79 F250's .. and even F350's are High Boys.

High-Boy = Enthusiasts term for 1967/76 F250 4WD's, 1977 F250 4WD's before serial number Y20,001.

Hi-Boy = Hot rodders term for 1928/34 Fords with the running boards and splash shields removed, exposing the body riding high atop the frame rails.

hi-boy = Antique furniture term for chest on chest (dresser) made circa 1750 thru circa 1805.

Well, I'm not going to hire you as a camera operator.
I can't hear anything but engine noise and exhaust.
I'm very familiar with valve train tick and I didn't hear it. Doesn't mean it's not there, just can't hear it off of a phone recording.
While you had the covers off did you grab each push rod and give it a shake?
Edit
I went back and listened again. Didn't here valve train tick. Maaaaaaayyyyyyy have heard your knock but again, its a phone. Not much help I know.

Can't tell if all of the rockers are even moving. Need better video and audio, but it sounds kind of like a knock
