I know its a dodge but mines makeing an awful sound when I push in the clutch like shown in the video. Any ideas. Truck drives and shifts fine, I can't make the clutch slip at all. I don't want to keep driving it and tear something up.
Should I park it until its fixed or can I limp around momentarily? How hard is this to fix and are there any updated parts?
IF it is the throw-out bearing (I would certainly gain others expertise on the subject) you can drive it until the bearing seizes or shatters. I once drove a truck from Iowa to California without a clutch, but it wasn't any fun! IF it is the throw-out bearing, you will need to drop the tranny to replace the bearing...at that point I would replace the clutch and pressure plate, and update the clutch fork (this is an updated part) for the clutch pedal.
