transfer case swaps
my transfer case is giving me troubles .i have a 87 f350 4x4 with a t19 borgwarner 4speed .whats the swap options for the transfers.I have a 85 f250 4x4 auto and a f150 4x4 with a 4spd out back would love to swap one of those transfers in to it.is there a input spline difference or output difference.any help would be great

They will all swap out with one another. The bolt patterns are the same regardless of what tranny is on front of them standard or auto. The inputs are all 31 spline. The out put may give you some trouble , but , not unless you have a BW 1345 . They have 32 spline out puts. You may run into drive shaft length problems, but , I think you may have the same T case in another one of your trucks. There is a T case thread running in the 1980-86 F 150 section that has a wealth of good info including links to other places with good info. There is a link to blueovalparts that has a nice list (beware they talk of different spline counts w/o commas so it appears they are talking about input splines but they arent its output) of yr makes and models of the different tcases and a link to FSB's T case and tranny guide. Great reading and you will walk away in the know.
