my transfer case is giving me troubles .i have a 87 f350 4x4 with a t19 borgwarner 4speed .whats the swap options for the transfers.I have a 85 f250 4x4 auto and a f150 4x4 with a 4spd out back would love to swap one of those transfers in to it.is there a input spline difference or output difference.any help would be great.
Like tjc said, they're pretty much all the same in this time range. Ford did that one right.
One thing I noticed, I got one from some small block gas with a c6 and the linkage was different. I don't know if that was a year difference or because of the c6. It wasn't just the shifter part, the piece that went into the transfer case was different, but I was able to swap it between the two.
If anything, x2 with what tecgod said, the BW1356 is a great T-case and I personally have put some serious abuse into mine and it held up fine(crawled over the chevy cruze that hit me in the 84 in Front wheel drive)
