4x4 transfer case swap
Can any one tell me what years are compatible with my 95 F150 auto to swap a transfer case? These northern winters have taken a toll on the aluminum that they make them out of. The salt has been trapped up on top of the bolts on the bottom side of my Borg-Wagner 13-56. By the way, can I use any other type case or only this particular style? For now I have cleaned it up and smeared "pig putty in to where it was leaking and am hoping for the best. I don't dare have my buddy try to heliarc it since it might blow a hole in it and make it worse than it is! Anybody down south got one they are dying to get rid of?

I have read that any later model ford auto trany transfer case will work but I have never tryed it. I think the 13-56 is a magnesum case? (spelling) wich I don't think is safe to weld. I'm not a welder, magnesum burns white hot when lit. If you find some thing with the same spline count and size and the same bolt diminsion it shoud work. It's all about how much bs you want to go through.
