Banks turbo housing + wicked wheel

I found a listing on Craigslist for a banks housing with a new wheel and would like some opinions. I don't have many problems with my turbo except when I am accelerating hard with the chip on, sometimes I get a surge/flutter (not sure which) on the shift. I just let off the pedal a little to prevent it now.

This seems like a good deal, should I get it?

Sounds like a good deal if it is as described. Basically, you'd be getting the whole turbo for around the cost of the upgrade parts.

That's my thinking exactly Roland. I can take the housing and wheel and either sell a stock turbo once I upgrade and possibly wash the cost OR keep the spare turbo.

I'm going to get in touch with the guy and go for it...any other easy upgrades while I'm at it?

You could also gut the EBPV if it comes with it. If you don't like not having the the EBPV, you can always put the yours back on it.

If you get it, order the Power Elbow from Banks that goes on it and pitch the EBPV. You can't buy those parts for 300$. I'd get it.

I like having the EBPV, I go to work between 5am-6am so it's helps with warming up. I would like to have a switch that disables it though so it doesn't come on while I'm driving.
