2000 ranger auto speed sensor?

2000 ranger auto speed sensor?
just bought my wife a 2000 ranger 4x4 with a 30 and auto trans.
its a clean little truck and runs perfect.
my question is .... that when you take off from a light, the motor revs just hair before she takes off.
it doesnt jerk or feel a clunk just a slightly higher rpm before you move.
at the light it doesnt pull forward if you take your foot off the brake.
it almost acts like they put a slightly higher stall tourqe converter in the truck.
could that be the case?
our parking spot has a steep grade to it, if you go up it from a stop it climbs it easly without any bog.
my f-350 will barely climb it without a heavyfoot.
