vehicle speed sensor?
I backed out of the driveway and got an ABS light.
While accelerating, the trans wouldn't shift out of first and I had no speedometer.
Well, upon trouble shooting, I started in first gear, then manually shifted to second gear, and while accelerating some more, the speedo started working at 35MPH. At that point, I shifted into drive, and it went on its merry way like normal when cruising.
If I have to stop, as soon as I go below 35MPH, the speedo drops to zero, and the downshifts are really harsh like the torque converter isn't unlocking, and when it shifts hard, the OD light blinks.
The ABS light is on all the time.
My first guess is the vehicle speed sensor. Where is this located on the extended cab Ranger?
I am working offshore at the moment, and this happened on my last run for supplies before leaving, so I parked it at the house and will look into it when I get back home. I'm just hoping it is something really simple.
Thanks,
Robert

For posterity...
We probably oughta get a Mod or Admin to move ya to the Ranger Forum... I think any other details or problems that you may run into while tackling this issue has probably been spoken of in there.
