Well I checked the switch with an ohm meter and opens and closes just fine, the tps that I got was for a 98 e350 so that might be y, the one it shows for my truck isn't the one that goes on it. It's a female plug and mines a male plug.

Thanks guys for all the help, it ended up being a rat/squirrel chewed thru some wires in the engine bay

What a little ***** lol! My dad had a ground hog chew through the fuel lines under his cadillac. Put it on the lift and there were bite marks all over the underside. Apparently It liked the taste of undercoating lol.

I did, I've already fixed it. Had to splice all the wires that were chewed thru and then it worked!

Sounds like you need one of your reptiles to live under the hood for a while, lol.
