Oil filter leak

Seems like every oil filter I put on my truck leaks.
Just a little bit, but really pisses me off. I guess I should of looked where the seal meets metal to see if I have a nick before I put the last one on.
Anyone else have this problem?

You sure its not the oil cooler leaking and running down the filter

The oem filter uses a beveled gasket to prevent this. Have you tried the OEM FL1995 filter? You sure its not the oil cooler leaking instead?

I do have the 1995 filter on. It appears to be the filter but maybe it is coming from the oil cooler. I'll check it out.

Is sure is oily above the oil filter. ( And dirty.)
I also noticed it looks like it might be leaking where the tubing goes back into the oil pan. Where is the oil cooler?

It is probably the block gasket on the oil cooler. I had that same issue on my truck. I did a write up on the oil cooler as well as others. its not that hard to do, just time consuming. If your good with your hands you can have it done in a couple of hours.
