EGR delete on 300 six??

To you talking about sawing off the EGR tubing.

That's what I did. I filled about an inch of it with muffler cement or compound not sure exactly. And I pinched it off. Then I put a plate behind my EGR valve and I don't have any issues I gdid that before I found out my problem was a stopped up catalytic converter. But oh well. It runs great now

OMG. Thank you 82F2urd. Did your suggestion. Truck runs flawless. Got a check engine light. Cleared and has not returned. No rough idle or stumbling. Clarification, this is on a 1996 efi 4.9 300 straight 6. You have fu….. saved me my friend. Rich
