Removing EGR will you need a new gasket?
Assuming that EGR gasket has not been replaced within the past 50 miles or so, yeah, you're very likely going to need to replace the EGR gasket if you remove the EGR valve, especially if you are replacing the EGR valve.
If you are only removing the EGR valve for some unrelated repair and you plan to put the same EGR valve on the engine, you may be able to get by with not disturbing the pieces of gasket that stick to either the engine or the valve, then bolt it all back up later and not end up with a leak. But you should be prepared to replace the gasket.

I did put a new gasket on there. I think I wasted my time doing it because it has made no difference in my truck running. Someone mentioned fuel pump to me but I just got a new one within three months ago. I've looked for vacuum line leaks and nothing. It will idle but it will not take but very little throttle
