HPOP Line fitting trouble

I installed my new t500 last weekend and everything went smoothly. Love the power it brought back to my truck. Driving home last night I got on the throttle a little bit and the front HPOP line fitting at the pump decided to disconnect its self. Could it just have been the fitting on the line was weak and the t500 finished it off? Or the fitting on the new pump is worn and not allowing a solid connection?

I can push the line back on to the pump fitting but it dosent connect at all and will slide right back off. I plan on ordering new lines from clay tonite but, should I check on getting new fittings for the pump to?
Sorry for the long post. Thanks for your time!

Sounds like the fitting is required, too. If you have wear on the hose end, you probably have wear inside the fitting as well. There is a chance that orings would take care of it, but I would be safe and just replace the fittings and hose at the same time.

When I changed the orings in the lines on mine one of them was really hard to get disconnected. When it finally did there was some rust on the connector(i guess from giving it a bath from time to time)
Was the black plastic ring put back in place when you re-attached the hose?

Are you sure that the hose end coupling is fully engaging and sliding properly to lock? It has to slide towards the hose to lock properly.

Yes the ring will slide down, but its just like there is nothing there for it to grab on to. Thank you all so much for replying so quickly!

Your fittings could be worn down. It could be the line is bad too. A new line is definetly in order. Clay should be able to get the fittings also.

If Clay doesn't have the fittings, Bob certainly does at DieselOrings.
