hi all I'm here with you to share my experience with my 2001 ford explorer xls, I recently the air bag light, blinking and decided to take the ford dealer and they I was told it was a malfunction related to the air bag steering wheel, I was charged for the diagnosis and tell me need, change the bag and harness only pay 125 for diagnistic, and do not say how much I charged for repair with it, so I decided to call a friend, mechanical and he said it was like a condigo 37, so I find like trying fix myself and before the first step disconect the battery next is to go to the passenger seat at the bottom are two connections, one black which is fed to the seat ,and yellow is the air bag will remove the ribbon cables discovered check to see if he had pulled, so after that with a little pressure and I put the conecxiones two plastic ties, then returned to put tape as it was before, then connect the battery, I opened the switch and the code disappeared I hope they work

Thanks for sharing! I'm glad to see that you strain relieved the cables which should help this connector from pulling loose in the future. Did you try running the seat all the way forward and backward as well as up and down to make sure you won't be straining that harness in any of the limit positions?
