intake silenter

Hey
I have an 04 PSD with 125k, erg deleted, 4 in exchaust, and a sct tuner, my question is how do I get more air flow thru the intake, a friend of mind said some thing about and silenter in the intake that reduces air flow, if so, where and does that help

There is no such thing. The stock air intake system will flow more air than the engine can use (unless you start making serious modifications).

He's probably refering to the silencer ring in the turbo that has to be machined out. there is no benefit to removing it.

Or the EGR flap in the early intake elbows.

like he said, the only benefit from grinding the silencer ring is more whistle. you can also cut a hole in the plastic behind the grill to expose the air intake and kindof force air in. it makes intake louder and is called the zoodad mod, but doesnt really have a purpose.
