So on this page I have seen reference to removing an air intake silencer to gain approx. 5hp that was dyno proven. Can anyone provide more info on what this is and how I would go about doing it?
In all honestly you are just as likely to gain 5 hp from putting a +5hp sticker on your back window as you would be messing with your intake.
Logic would definitely say so, and I would be the first one to typically laugh at someone telling me this, but this info came from someone on here and said it was dyno proven. I was just seeing if anyone else had any insight or experience with this?
I removed mine on my 08 but it isn't a silencer. It is a slightly necked down tube only a few inches long going from the air box to the fender well. If that not what your referring to then I'm not sure what you are referring to.
