I know, I know but I like to build them up and then start something new. I know I will take a hit on the 20K or so I have in parts in her but it is a disease. I'm thinking about possibly doing a dually next. Maybe an F350 or F450. Maybe a Cayenne or a Rover. I have no idea. Still in the thought process. Any ideas?
I have zero issues with this rig. I would not be considering an F350-450 purchase and sinking $$$$ into it if I had issues lol. I love how the HPFP posts are freaking people out.
Since this is my thread I am also going to say that all of the HPFP BS is making this forum unenjoyable. "I ran out of windshield washer fluid". "Was it the HPFP that caused the problem!?" Come on now. How many 11+ SD's are out there without these problems.....several. My rig has been great, if yours has, stop being a damn worry wart. My .02
Now back to a FUN thread with FUN economy boosting ideas.
If you go with a dually, how can you not go with the 450?
I think if you keep going with your wheel idea it would be bad (sick, off the chain). Any pics of what are called train wheels? I don't know what those are......
I like the full suspension replacement systems that make it pure air ride. Adjustable height, you can squat to get in and out/load. I think it would be really cool.
If I went with a dually, it would more than likely be a 450. I agree. I'm mobile (easier for my broken azz to type with) or I would post some train wheels. Maybe an Internet search will have to do. Some crazy lugs or spikes would be a must. I know I cannot buy another grey/gray rig or my wife will kill me. probably black or I may custom paint it. Thinking a matte black style with an incorporated design rubbed into the paint or something nuts. Air ride would be a must.
Since you asked, go with the F-450.
The wider front is worth it although you'll take a hit with the lower gear ratio.
What is a train wheel (other than the obvious)?
I'm a (mostly) stock kind of guy so I don't have any input there.
The most I'll do to mine in the future is some Nitto trail grapplers which will probably require a small lift.
