I put this in the paint and body section with no response, can somebody help me out?
The previous owner decided to cut holes and put 6x9 speakers behind the seat. He also stuffed the inside of the cab inbetween the rear glass and the door jamb with pillow stuffing. Over time this soaked up moisture and now I have rust in places I can't get to. I have heard horror stories about dipping cars in acid. The rest of the cab is solid. How do I stop this internal rust?

If you can't get to it, can you at least tell how bad it is? If it's only surface rust maybe clean it the best you can and try putting something like por15 (or any similar system) in a cheapo garden sprayer and go to town?

This is what comes to my mind, too; rust will grow only when it gets wet, so keep it from getting wet.
Oh brother.
First off, good luck be with you. You are going to have to access the level of damage. Use a flashlight, mirror, scraper, screwdriver, whatever you can to poke and prod to see if the rust is surface or gone through. Don't be gentle, you need to know. You can't tape over a panel that has no integrity, you have to fix it.
Once you have that figured out it will be a bit more clear as to what you can do. If it has rusted through you need to install replacement panels.
If it is just surface rust you can use one of the rust stopping compounds.
On my truck I had both problems. My drivers side floor was rusted through. Had to weld in a new section. In the areas with surface rust I used Permatex Rust Stopping crud. There are a few different ones out there.
The point is, you have to attack it or it will attack you.
Have fun.
Agree you need to determine if the rust is perforated or structural. If not, a wax based rustproof coating will help a lot in stopping further rusting. The stuff below works well. You can apply with a rust proof gun (flexible plastic wand with all direction nozzle at the end) or brush. Also available in aersol with the flexible applicator.
One caution... it goes on messy and smelly. Within a day or so it sets up and after a week or so the smell goes away... at least mostly.

Heavy-Duty Anti-Rust protects internal surfaces against rust
Works with your undercoat spray gun to apply an amber-colored, waxy film that sticks to bare metal or painted surfaces, and won't crack, flake or peel. Use inside frames, doors, rocker panels or on any exposed
I will take a further look with flashlight, mirror, and long prybar. The speaker holes just have surface rust right behind where the speaker was, not sure how far it traveled. Thanks alot.
Well looks like she survived a stupid mistake the PO made. Its just surface rust and did not spread anywhere else. I;m going to spray some of the Eastwood Anti rust, all around in there so I won't have to worry about that anymore. Theres a small place around the rear glass seal in the same shape. Thanks alot guys, for your help.
