Changed IDM and still nuffin. His IDM ran my truck. Next option is???

What about the fuel pressure?????? If you're not getting fuel its almost gotta be the pump!!!

Am I not being listened to for a reason???

hmmm. we didn't establish any fuel pressure. Like Darin said (if he would just speak up a little) it may very well be a pump. I KNOW you have fuel in the tank...RIGHT? Have you tried switching tanks and see if you pick up anything?

Tried switching tanks and nothing.

When we did have the fuel filter out of both trucks his truck was pumping approx the same volume as mine did until mine fired up

What can I check the fuel pressure with? I do not own a fuel pressure
gauge for either a gas or diesel

im guessing its not fuel. he said the truck would start with a snort of ether.
did u unplugg the icp and try to start it? and did you check the wiring harness to the VC?

Why can't it be fuel if it starts on ether?

Where is the explanation of why the fuel just dribbled out of the test port when it was pushed in?

If we could just get a fuel pressure number, we could either eliminate it as a possibility or see if there is the problem.

agreed w/o a number we are just shooting in the dark...like changing the IDM or something!

Nope. He gave up and decided to take it to mechanic. When he talked to the mechanic about the truck he (mechanic) think it might be HPOP. But he is gonna hook up the diagnositic tool to it and be for sure.
