I've got a 1999 F250 6.8l with @ 260k that runs great. Yesterday decided to throw the scanner on it to see if there were any stored codes. Pulled up 2 P1345 stored codes.
Anyone have any experience with this code on this motor? Hoping it's a bad sensor of faulty connection and not something with the timing chain or tensioner!

Tried searching online for that one. Not much out there. Cam position sensor. I saw where it can be the sensor and/or the wire. Then someone had COP #5 having an issue that turned into P1345 and then led to the ECM. Hope it is something simple.
You and me both.......... I searched online and came up with pretty much nothing too. I've found some refrences to other years and the cam moving forward and damaging the cam sensor. I don't know enough about the timing chain setup on this motor to know if things are on the verge of ?
Maybe I'm panicking for no reason. A catastrophic failure right now might be more than I can handle and my luck has been nothing but bad lately! LOL

Have you tried clearing the codes and seeing if it comes back? I try to do this will my codes. I don't like hiccups and I can't stand troubleshooting a problem that isn't really a problem, especially if the engine is running good.
