Gauges and Ignition Switch ?
Hi Steve83, I have checked out the Ford Service Manual showing the wiring and am having trouble understanding it. And it does nothing to show me when a wire is always hot or not. Would a Haynes manual do a better job of this?

Gauges and Ignition Switch ?
All the Ford manuals I have specifically say when the wire is hot, right next to the fuse in the diagram. You can determine when it's hot using the Haynes by following the circuit back to the battery - if it passes thru the ignition switch, it's switched.
