Ignition Switch problem revisited!!!!
Several weeks ago i posted a problem with my ignition switch, it would continue to chime even with key removed closing the door stopped it but would continue to chime after opening door, starting engine would silence it sometimes I could wiggle the ignition switch and stop it. I did the modification with electrical tape to ignition switch and did not change it tried prying the contacts apart and still it chimes any more ideas? I'm thinking a new switch but puzzled why tape didn't work..

That stinks that the tape didn't work. I don't even see those contacts in my wiring diagrams.
I would suspect the switch also, but that might be a spendy shot in the dark. But then again, you posted wiggling the switch would sometimes make it stop.
Have you looked down inside where the ignition switch installs? Do all those contacts look good?

I had the same problem with my 2003 F350. I took the ignition switch off and found the contact that clips to the switch had a broken tab and was touching
the body and completed the circuit. It is part of the harness so I put a dab of silicone installed the contact in it's proper location wrapped some electrical tape a couple of turns and finished with a Ty-wrap. Still working fine.
