I have a 1999 F250 4x4 super duty desel my vacum pump stopped working , replaced it , still did not work , hot wired the motors, new one and the old one both work but the old one does sound bad , checked the factory wire to the pump and no power , have been looking for a bad fuse but can't find one .
Any ideas ???

It is powered off of fuse 28 in the cab. Its the same fuse that does back up lights, shift interlock if automatic (lets it come out of park) , vacuum hublocks, and speed control module (cruise). If all that other stuff works, then I would say check for power and ground at the connector and see if one is lost. If cruise works, I would look really hard at the ground side of circuit as it grounds straight to body near the right battery. The cruise, vacuum, hublock and speed are all powered off the same splice near LH front of engine compartment, on upper radiator support . That is not the greatest location but all i got.
Great info , will give it a try , was thinking of rewiring the plug to power but will try for the ground I know I added a ground wire to the head lights and they finally got bright years ago as it was a common problem something about Canadian trucks not using a large enough ground wire !
Buy it , take it home and re-engineer it , then use it !
yup it was the fuse , but still won't move around the AC , there is a thing looks like a selinoid , I tapped on it and it did work once for me but seems to of quit AC is back on the windshield so I am thinking it is my problem now !
seems that every thing works but the heater direction control and the vacum pump does not turn off.
think the problem is this part that has 2 vavum lines going to it , some kind of selinoid guy on here said it was a PVH solenoid , can't find one on ebay !?
Thanks for the tip but I bought a Vacum control Solenoid at the dealer $87 with tax , was $80 on Ebay but then I would need to wait , will put it on tomorrow and hope for the best !
