nope, my starter winds but its not shooting to the flywheel to crank over, i was tapping it with a hammer today assuming it was frozen up but that still didn't work. but i did find that the little red wire that connects to the small terminal on the solenoid was cut to short to begin with, so the previous owner crimped to wires together as an extension. and where it meets the solenoid was really messed up. so I'm thinking of just replacing the starter considering before this problem occurred it was starting to slow down, and replace the bad wire.
So apparently there is an old style switch and a new style.
If I were you I would get ahold of FORDF250HDXLT he is the resident E4OD guru, and he can give you the answers you seek, with the E4OD I can only guess, the C6 is more my style.
The C6 is an automatic 3 speed transmission that is mechanically operated by vacuum. The E4OD is computer controlled and has 4 speeds, one of which is overdrive.
I didn't know you could opt for a C6 in 91. I've never seen a 91 with a C6.
