You might want to look again. His label reads right side up. Mine is exactly the same.

Well this little delima made up my mind. I won't be using Bilsteins. German engineering - NOT. To me, if the boot is upside down, it has a greater possibility to retain moisture and rust quicker. Plus if you go through deep water, it's going to get soaked. You do the math.

I'm not trying to upset anyone here at all. This is just my .02 worth from a guy who has been building and 4 wheeling for over 25 years.

If the boot is upside down it lets water and dirt wash out instead of collecting around the shaft. Bilsteins are great shocks.

these boots are`nt water proof, dirt proof, they are`nt anything proof...I would even use the boot looks better without em

just put bilstein 1500s on my 2011 f250... boots down just dosent seem right tho but thats the way they are only way they fit

5100's are monotube shocks... mounting them shaft-down will not adversly affect them like it would the crappy white body dual tube shocks from everyone else. like someone mentioned you won't have junk sitting on the seal. and it gives you more clearance to the axle if you're using a long body shock. plus it looks better (especially without a boot.. the 80's are over ).

i realize this thread is super old and has been brought back by Zecca but i couldn't believe noone had pointed this out lol.

No no, the shocks are correct.......your truck is upside down.

i put two RCD on my cousins 1500 and 2500HD Chevy's and their Bilstein are boots up? Even my buddies 2003 F250 with Bilstein's are boots up.......
