creaking noise when stearing

Just like the title says. 03 f250 crew 4x4, V10, 89k miles, manual transfer, manual tranny. As soon as I noticed the noise I greased everything up front and noise immediately stopped. Got to work this morning and heard it again. I jacked up driver side and still heard it, jacked up passenger side and it was gone. So it is leading me to believe maybe ball joints. I'm not 100% sure but believe they are still factory joints. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My guess would be ball joints , if they dont have grease zerks on them they are most likely the factory ones , I put moogs on mine and have had good luck with them ...
