I have customer that has a 00 F-350 with a 7.3. Been working on it for a while, got all of the issues ironed out but 1, I have a reoccuring P0478 code. It doesnt turn the CEL on but the code shows up if you scan it.
I did install a FORD turbo pedestal, and set the valve accoring to the directions. The old one was leaking oil like a SOB and the valve was sloppy. So I figured at 133k it was time to replace it.
My question is, is there something I missed or did wrong? Im not a 7.3 guy, I do a ton on thr 6.0's and its been a while since I had a 7.3 in the shop. I forgot how slow these 7.3's are stock.

The 478 is a code for the sensor on the front of the motor. Usually a clogged EBP tube or bad sensor.
